Our history
1962
Talleres Amenabar, S. A. was founded by two brothers, Javier and José Mari Amenabar.
1964
The Regulating Brake patent is awarded.
1973
The manufacture and marketing of Electric Chain Hoists began. Due to the poor quality of the existing chain on the market, Amenabar began to manufacture its lifting chain.
1974
The Second Generation of Manual Hoists was developed.
1976
Amenabar inaugurates its new facilities.
1980
The Third Generation of Manual Hoists was launched, incorporating the permanent steering system patented by Amenabar.
1984
The Simplified Electric Hoist was developed, corresponding to the Second Generation Electric Hoist.
1985
Amenabar has become international, expanding into the European market, North Africa, and Latin America.
1993
Updating of the corporate image.
1994
Amenabar achieves technical certification by an external body (Bureau Veritas) for each Manual and Electric hoist it manufactures.
1999
Amenabar was awarded the Spanish patent for the Third Generation of Electric Hoists. Amenabar developed its first Special Electric Hoists for the wind power industry.
2001
Amenabar was awarded the European patent for the Third Generation of Electric Hoists.
2002
Approved Supplier to the Wind Power Industry
2003
Amenabar continues its international expansion in Eastern and Northern Europe, as well as in the Middle East and North America.
2005
Amenabar obtains ISO 9001:2000 certification for designing, manufacturing and marketing lifting equipment and chains.
2010
Amenabar obtains ISO 9001:2008 certification in designing, manufacturing and marketing lifting equipment and chains.
2014
Amenabar obtained the Spanish patent for variable spam cranes.
2016
Amenabar obtained the Spanish patent for rotating trolleys that offer greater working clearance when lifting.
2018
Amenabar obtains ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 certification for designing, manufacturing and marketing lifting equipment and chains.
2019
Renovation of the Electric Hoist
2022
Amenabar joins the Basque Wind Power Cluster.
2022
Amenabar celebrated its 60th Anniversary and announced the opening of its new branch in Shanghai (China).
2023
A new model of electric hoist for high load capacities.
